I had 1/2 of the Longhorns salad yesterday... The whole thing was like 600 calories .. The one I made me today only 273... Just as good... And a huge calorie difference ??
we all like to eat out and splurge once In a while.. But for the most part your safer in your own kitchen.??

Hi DonnasJourney1964- Yes, such a great point! When we cook at home we have control over the ingredients. Restaurants often add extra fat and sugar to enhance the flavor, which means more calories....
Just curious- What's in your longhorns salad? Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Not to mention the massive amount of salt added by restaurants to food.

I have to ask - Why Longhorns ?

I had a salad from Longhorns on Friday. They don't have any lite dressings so I just used part of one of the two dressing ramekins. I only ate part of the salad too, but I agree in my kitchen I can budget the calories much better!
