So I had a really healthy dinner of grilled turkey breast with a tomato salsa and bulgur salad. Had a couple of glasses of wine and then craved something sweet. I usually try to keep something small but satisfying around -- dark chocolate covered raisins, or dk. choc. bar but had none of that last night. SO... I got into this jar of pecan and honey "topping" I bought on my recent trip to Texas. I kept going back for more and finally stopped after half the jar was gone. AUUGGHHH!!

My weakness is potato chips. Really, I cannot eat just one! Sigh. But then I get back on track to good eating and am OK.

I know all about losing control.I am a recovering bulimic but still have issues with food especially with sweets! I started MND on Aug 15th and so far it's great.I have never kept a diary of the food I eat but I really think this will work for me,help keep me in control.I just joined this group today and I think the support will help me succeed.

Loosing weight is a journey. On every journey you make a wrong turn every on e on a while. It's not the end of the journey instead it is a lesson to be learned and the journey continued. Eating the right amount of food is an educational process in which we learn every day how much to eat. When we can say Yes and when we have to say No Thanks.

I like your message, Mountain_Guide. I heard someone talking about a tribe of people who live in Afghanistan. They have no written language, only spoken, and they have no word for "failure." The closest they come to our understanding of that word is something like coming to a "fork in the road." You have to make a decision which road to take.
Are there any "Biggest Loser" fans out there? Something on last week's show resonated with me when someone said "Saying "no" means saying "yes" to me." Just another perspective.

I also like your thoughts. Went on hiatus for a bit, but am back to the plan. Took the wrong "fork in the road" for a bit, but the journey continues.

I understand all about that fork in the road. I am back on track, too!
