In like a lion, out like a lamb? That certainly describes Colorado's March weather! We are expected to get up to the low 60's today (F), but then the snow/rain starts tonight.
Time to get into the gym if I can't get outside before the crazy weather pattern changes.
How are folks doing with their exercise?
Best,
Kathy

I've been dormant the last 1.5 weeks, but was back on the cross trainer today. Taking it easy as I've had a bit of an ache in my left shoulder the last few days, but it went fine. :)
If tomorrow goes fine I'll be back on the strength training this weekend :)
We're getting up to 0 degrees in the daytime so it's getting a bit warmer. Let's get som spring soon :D

Good to hear from you, Sune! I have to be super careful with my upper body weight training since I have damage in my spinal vertebrae. Glad to hear you are getting back into it.

Back on strength training today. I worked abs, back and butt and worked 30 minutes on the cross trainer. That was a 900 calorie workout in 1 hour 15, which is pretty darn decent if I have to say it myself ;)
I am 600 gram (about 1 lbs) shy of having lost 50 kg, so I am sure I'll be posting another milestone soon. That also means I am about 5 kg shy of hitting that coveted 25 BMI, so my goal is in sight. Yay me! :D

Oh yeah, forgot to say, the 900 calories have my BMR deducted. I deduct 80 calories pr. hour I train (or 1 1/3 per minute) ;)

I ran twice this week and yoga one day. After that I had to work over-time. I'll get back into it next week. I would love to have a cross-trainer in my gym. It's just a small gym in my work. That sounds awesome. That's a huge calorie burn. I love running though, so I've been running on the treadmill 'til spring arrives and I can go outside.

I'd love to be able to run, but since I have neuropathy in my feet, I am not sensation in them, so putting on a pair of running shoes and running for 30 minutes, could possibly end up hurting them a lot, so I only use the cross trainer, the bike, the stepper or the rowing machine, as none of them involve much movement of the feet.
I am really good at burning calories. Even at my current weight I can burn 1000 in a 60 minute cross training session. It really helps me to lose a lot as you can tell from my graph ;)
I hope spring comes soon, so you can get outside. It was a really nice day here today, a few degrees above freezing and lots of sun. Great for the mood. :D

Wow! Runners... I can walk again, with a cane. I don't know when I'll be able to run again. Right now I am focusing on riding the bike 30 min a day and doing my physical therapy. I'm planning on adding in yoga this week to help with the strength, flexibility and balance I lost while I was in the wheelchair.
It's s slow process but I'm already 3 months ahead of where my dr thought I'd be in the healing process. Go me!

That's great. Three months ahead of where you should be. The doctor's said my sister would never walk without a cane, and now she's surfing again. It took me months to be able to run again because of some back issues. Just keep up the good work.
