Hi everyone! We are now starting our 5th month of the year. How are you doing with your weight goals? Eating? Exercise?

Hi all,
Had a long plateau in my weight loss, now hopefully again losing.
Reached mid term goal of 90 kg - approx 15 kg lost now. Feel much better now!
Tried jogging today (not inyears!), but my knee still hurts soon after starting. Guess it's walk for now.
Happy spring to everyone!

Hi, MJL! You might try a walk/jog routine on a treadmill for a while so that your body can get used to jogging again. A lot of folks like the "Couch to 5K" apps out there to help them gradually work up to 5K (about 3 miles).
Also, a physical therapist can help you with building strength in the weak knee with supporting exercises.
Of course, walking is just fine too! But over time, if you want to boost your calories burning, you might want to experiment a little with higher intensity exercises when you are ready.

How's it going, everyone? Kind of quiet - is that a good thing?
Check in folks- let me know how you are doing!

I've been a bit quiet, I know. I am still here, reading.
I am doing okay. Having a bit of trouble after my Grandmother died not too long ago, but I overcame it though.

My condolences to you, Sune. Death of a loved one is a huge loss. Sadness can alter our typical behaviors temporarily or more permanently. Glad to hear from you.

I've been quiet. I haven't been doing good. My husband lost his job and I've been very stressed about that. It's hard to get by on one income. I put a few pounds back on, but luckily have still been working out so not too bad. I want to get back to watching what I eat and working out too. Need to not add weight gain to my stress.

Sorry to hear about your husband losing his job. I know exactly how that feels since my husband and I went through that last year. Hope things turn around.
Both you & your husband might find it especially important to take the time to exercise to help calm the nerves. Great for stress reduction.
This too shall pass, as the saying goes.
Budgeting and eating more foods from scratch will help. For us, we pretty much cut out our weekly dinner out - saves us a lot of money, calories, and sodium!
Hang in there and thanks for checking in.

We've been through this before. We've never really gone out to dinner so there's no cutting that out, but cooking from scratch is always an idea, thanks. Already doing the budgetting thing and it does help, but still having panic attacks in the middle of the night.
You are right though, this too shall pass. We made it through last time and we'll make it through this time.
I still have my job and that's one good thing and we still all have eachother.
Thank you.
