I really haven’t use my net diary app for a long time because I wish it had delivered to include my intermittent fasting. For me, this is the only thing missing in this app. Please can you do a fasting to include in this

Hi Granbin-
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback! I just passed it along to our app developers. Perhaps this is something they can add with future updates? Have a great day! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

My vote is NO. Not sure why a fasting tracker is necessary. What exactly is the added benefit to have this included on the app? I’ve read a popular book on subject so I understand the basic premise. According to the principle, you choose to eat within a certain parameter of hours per day. But, I don’t think it’s suppose to be a get slim fast scheme. In fact, intermittent fasting has been linked to the development of eating disorders. Please see American Psychiatric Association article, https://psychnews.psychiatryonline.org/doi/full/10.1176/appi.pn.2023.02.2.3
I respect that everyone has their own weight loss journey. And I think it is also sensible to use caution when promoting features that may be used in an unhealthy manner. I would encourage the developer to consider this perspective.

I thought fasting was not eating at all for that day. I’d never make it

Hi U1195810881,
Thank you for sharing your perspective. Yes, it is very important for each person to develop their own weight loss approach. If a fasting approach triggers an eating disorder, it is definitely not advised. Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
