Need to gain weight QUICK! Topic

I have lost 20 lbs in 2 months due to starting to work, working 60-65 hours a week, having no time to eat, and being put on adderall for my ADHD. I desperately need to gain the weight back because I need to be on my meds and I need to keep the weight on! Any tips, tricks?

My work is failing due to inattentiveness and hyperactivity from not being on my meds

Weight gain can be a challenge! Here are a few tips to get you going-
I would make sure you are eating 6 times a day. Thus, try to eat something every 2.5 hours. Even if you don’t feel like eating, making these small frequent meals a priority is critical to regaining your weight back.
Have you been tracking your intake and re configuring your weight gain plan on MND? Simply go to the PLAN tab (under MAX membership) and enter in your weight gain goal and date you wish to accomplish this goal. Then the app will give you a daily calorie/protein budget to get you there.
-It is important to eat protein at every meal. I am assuming you eat meat and are not a vegetarian? I have included some articles on protein. You may consider drinking a protein drink 30min-1 hour before bed. This can help with weight gain (I have included an article on protein drinks). I like to make my own:
1 c 2% milk + 1 scoop of whey protein powder + ½ C frozen berries + 1 T peanut butter + ½ banana and blend until smooth. It is filling, but not too much before bed.

You’ll notice an important component in the weight gain puzzle is strength training. You’ll find the best results (gaining lean body mass vs. adipose tissue) if you make time to lift weights at least 3d/week. It sounds like your schedule is very busy! Some clients I work with find their stress level goes up significantly if they are working 65 hours a week and then pile on a health goal, like starting a new eating plan and exercise routine. Finding a way to create some work life balance so you have a bit of space each week for health might be a great place to start? Finally, taking certain medications Finally, one side effect of taking adderall is weight loss. Thus, be kind to yourself and realize you may have to work a bit harder than the average person to gain weight, because you are taking this medication. Best, Joanna (Dietician)
