need yall help Topic


I have entered a "biggest losser" within my family, and the winner gets cash. I really need everyones help/tips/advised/ and suggestions on loosing weight. I have been doing 40-50 minutes on the treadmill but i have noticed am not sore at all. is that a bad thing? am i not working out right? and i dont see any difference. Of course ill have the ocassional small bag of hot cheetos but not too extreme and this week has been hard, customer service week, and we have treated with snacks gift card and the worst pizza hut pizza. i really need help guys anyting is greatly appreciated!


As exciting as winning cash sounds, I would suggest finding motivation in yourself. That way success doesn't turn into disappointment from not being 'successful enough'.

As for exercise, cardio (like the treadmill) is great for your health. If you want to burn more calories with it you could quicken your pace. You could jog for 5 minutes then go back down to a walk to rest.

For weight loss I'd recommend doing some weight training. It will help you maintain muscle mass, and muscle needs to burn more calories to maintain itself. You don't even need fancy equipment, I do body weight workouts like these: http://www.livestrong.com/slideshow/551492-2o-best-body-weight-exercises/#slide-1 I personally alternated between a day of cardio and a day of weight training.

As for food, you need to be in charge of that. Bring your own healthy lunch and snack to work. Say 'no' to the pizza and if you get a reward that is unhealthy give it away. It's not really a reward it it's hindering your goals.
