New 50'er! Topic


Mindset to reverse 4 years of neglect to my health while putting others needs first. In hopes to rid myself of the extra 40 lbs, I am doing a 3 day 'green smoothie' cleanse then plan to incorporate whole grains and organic produce diet. I am also easing into regular exercise routine with walking, lightweights and stretching. I am hoping this group can help me stay on track and offer me the beginners advise I am looking for!


C'mon guys and gals - 50 something is not dead...we have plenty of energy and life ahead. Make the best of it.....starting today.


So good being 50, still young enough to enjoy life and years of wisdom to keep us out of mischief. Now to get the body ready for the fun part of life. Kids all grown up and left home. Let's enjoy life to the full.


I'm new to dieting but like the bulk of you, Age has crept up on me. We certainly can't eat the way we used to. Weight has never been an issue all my life but I look at the scale and my waist and decided this doesn't look right. So I am on the journey with everybody else. Not for beauty not for vanity but for health and to save the cost of having to buy larger clothes!
