Afternoon all!

My names Nicole I am 27 (28 soon enough) and thought I'd better suit this team then the 20 something's:) I am the mom of a beautiful, kind funny 2 year old girl.

I have been struggling with weight my entire life, always an athlete and captain of the highschool sports team, but never really healthy. I have participated in every diet under the sun, (zone, Atkins, Bernstein, weight watchers etc). After my daughter I went right back down to "normal" 165ish. But over the past year I've managed to gain weight like crazy, I am now as heavy as I was when I was 9 months pregnant (185 Ish). I think a lot of it had to do with an injury I suffered running (tore all my ligAments and was in a boot cast and rehab for ever). I am finally back on my feet and taking it easy by training for a 10k.

I am really worries something is wrong with metabolism (from all the yoyo dieting and diet pill popping when I was younger) . I am following the daily limits, exercising daily, eating clean food, drinking water, eliminated sugar and cream in my coffee and stopped my evening glass of wine.

Really looking for some support and advice?

Gotta run (literally) second week back pounding the pavement.

Welcome! A great way to burn calories and spend some time with your child is playing Just Dance on the Wii or any similar game. It is entertaining and my children seem to really enjoy it. Your child may be a little young for this game, but give it a chance and she will probably like it. good luck.


Go to your doctor if you haven't done so already. Hormone imbalance, thyroid dysfunction and other medical conditions can lead to weight gain.... Even if you are eating right and exercising.


Thanks everyone for the welcome! Ill definitely try a game with madi, she's a little Dancing singing machine so I'm sure shell get a kick out of it.

I also have an appointment next week with my doctor to try and figure out if there is anything I can do to see results:)
