New here- need recipes Topic

Hello everyone,
I'm new here. I need better recipes. I have a new slow cooker but not sure what to do with it. I'm type 2 diabetic and so far just eat regular meat , fruits and veggies. I saw the turkey recipe for slow cooker and can't wait to try it. Any other recipes anyone can give me would be great. Great food while dieting is key for me. I've gone from 365 to 314 and am working to 260 now.
Thanks In advance!
Will

Talk to your doctor about a low glycemic diet. Also get a pocket book on foods you can safely have.

Grilling is always best so maybe most of your meats you can make enough for two days. And grill every other day.

For the slow cooker they are great but the tricky part is fattier meats like any type of beef is going to slow cook in the fats.

I would try doing a very lean chicken breast - boneless skinless chicken breast , use Mrs. Dash to season a little and fresh squeezed lemon.
There are a handful of flavor choices for the Mrs.Dash. I would also look for an unsalted chicken broth to add to the slow cooker about 1/2 at start. That's all it'll need.

Instead of traditional taco shells use cabbage leaves and add in your toppings. I've found omitting the cheese actually allows to taste the food better, so maybe skip the cheese! Use toppings like fresh tomatoes, shredded lettuce, red bell peppers or even green or yellow or orange.

If you like you can also do beans in the slow cooker and just add fresh water and some of the same seasoning. About almost half way done add in veggies of your choice. Just drain juice before putting on your cabbage leaves or even large dark lettuces like Romaine.

If you use social networks do a search for recipes and see if any come up within the SNS you use. Having a book on hand will give you access to all the foods that will benefit you best.

P.S. you are off to a very good start!
