Hi there! I've been using MyNetDiary for a week and have lost ZERO lbs, despite being just about the healthiest eater I know (even before joining). I exercised 6/7 days last week, even if it meant dragging the dog for a 30 min brisk walk (he's done at 20 min, the little couch potato). Needless to say I am frustrated. But enough whining; there's always tomorrow!

Hello: Sometimes we just have weeks like that. The good news: you did not do all that work and GAIN weight. You can do this! I've used My Net Diary for a year and it really helps!

Semery03 -- Thanks for the reply, and I agree sometimes weeks are just like that. I just wish it wasn't the FIRST week, you know? It's now been two weeks and I have still lost nothing. I've really been giving this some thought as to why. I turned 49 this year and I was in a serious head-on collision last November that laid me up for awhile. So I'm thinking maybe my BMR is very low because of that.

The good news is I did take some base measurements about a week ago, and even though I said I'd wait a full week to re-measure, I checked them yesterday hoping to see some improvement in that direction, and I did! About 0.25 - 0.5 inches lost in bust, waist, and hips.

So maybe I'm building muscle. I do look better, despite what the scale says.

Any other advice is MUCH appreciated.

I was going to point out that if you are exercising more that you were adding some more muscle---but then I read where you already suspected that! I bet that is what is going on...especially if you measured and things are smaller! Best of luck! Also--you could be holding onto some water if you are hydrating more than before as well!

Hi everyone!

I have just started using MND ( started on July 7th). First couple of weeks were fantastic - I lost four pounds - then week 3 ... I gained 600 gms! Oh well, I promised myself that I will not weigh in until this Saturday, and stick to my food plan :)

I wanted to join this group because I think I am going to need lots of inspiration to stick with it as I have lose 20 pounds by December 30 :)

Hello Harini! I have about the same plan for weight loss as you and can also you outside inspiration!

I log daily by my phone, but check this group at least every other day. I like to post to keep myself accountable.

I don't like to weigh myself more than once a week cause daily fluctuations only frustrate me!! Stick to your food plan, and maybe check measurements also as they will show changes faster than the scale sometimes!

Hello everyone, my name is Christy I live in Paragould Arkansas I have 3 wonderful children, one beautiful grand son and an amazing husband, I'm wanting to lose weight for health reason and personal reason, but i seem to have trouble doing this on my own, so i'm really hoping that this team can help me with the support that im needing

Hey Christy, welcome aboard! Right away we have a common ground, taking control of change... and the willingness to reach out! That is like 51% of the battle. Then there is roughly 38% is deciding to do this for yourself... and the rest is the actual day to day effort.

For what its worth, I've been at this since January- was doing great, fell off my wagon in April and am returning to it again.

Here is what I learned so far- if you stay on course all the way to your goal; you can celebrate determination and tenacity.

If you fall down, but decide to get back up and continue on to your goal, you can celebrate determination and tenacity.

If you fall down and are still reaching out but havent made the decision to return yet... you can still celebrate determination and tenacity.

So long as your back hasn't willfully turned away- you are a success.

Thanks Elijah! I lost 900 gms last week! In my last four weeks I have lost 3 kilos ( about 6.5 pounds?) also have lost 7 centimeters from my waist :) the 6 smaller meal plan seems to be working for me I guess! I now going to weigh myself on Saturdays, fluctuations are depressing!

I did splurge yesterday - pineapple donut , so yes, will also checking here every few days to keep accountable...
My problem is I start cheating on my diet I fall apart quickly, so the cheat day system will not work for me. Maybe later when I have come to my goal weight..

Let's all keep trying guys! We'll get there together!
