Ha ha! Yes, I understand exactly what you mean. My husband is an honorary dietitian at this point. I love it when he goes shopping and comes home with a new product. He'll describe exactly why he thinks it was a sound nutritional choice.

I put the clothes issue into "nice problem to have category!"

Well, it's April 1st, 1 month on maintenance, and I'm actually 1 pound under my goal, so that's really awesome!! However, I'm nervous about eating as much as MND says I can! I'm so afraid that I will starting gaining. Is this something y'all have gone through?

Yes! But over time, you will learn what is true for your body so that you maintain. The fear of regaining will be replaced with the confidence that comes with maintaining over time. But of all of those monitoring behaviors you did for weight loss have to continue the maintenance phase.
I find that MyNetDiary is pretty accurate for me, but others discover that MND is maybe 100-200 calories higher than their true requirement for maintenance. MND uses prediction equations and sometimes individuals are a little higher or lower than predicted. But I would at least try the recommended maintenance calories for a while and see how it works.

I am using 20% haircuts on the exercise calories due to double counting of exercise and sedentary calories. Just to prevent an erroneous daily calorie budget.

Gone through and still am. I reached my 130 pound weight loss last August but have lost 11.2 ,as of this morning since. My calories were set by a dietetician at less than 200 what is on mnd. I use the one that the dietetician set but it took me till December to get there as I was so paranoid about weight gain but once I got there I have pretty much stopped the loss, which is good. For me going to maintainence calories was hard and very stressfull as I am not going to have to do that again, the weight gain/loss. Best of luck. Any problems we can help you with, we will try. This is a good group-Fran

Thanks for all the feedback!! I'll probably try to increase my calorie intake and track how my weight fluctuates. Right now I'm going up and down by a pound, but I think a lot of that is water retention (sodium is the thing I have a really hard time keeping in line). You guys are great and MND has been a tremendous support in helping me meet my goal. Thanks again!!!

That's a good idea, especially for logging long periods of exercise time (e.g. 1 hour or more).

I also find that my sodium intake affects my body weight A LOT - especially my weigh-in the morning after a high sodium dinner.
The nice thing about maintenance and regular weight monitoring is that discover what level of fluctuation is typical for you.
Best,
Kathy
