New to the group Topic

..those rare people who enjoy going to the gym. But food has been my dow...., and I'm gradually putting on a couple pounds, then a couple more, etc.
I've set a goal to lose 5% of my current body weight. If I can lose that, I'll aim for 5% more until I reach my goal. I'd like to gradually adopt healthier eating habits that I'll be willing to maintain long term.
Anyone interested in sharing weekly reports of how they did? I've been trying to lose weight on my own and I believe that's one reason it hasn't worked for me.

Hi I'm new and already to get healthy for the new year. I'm 53 year young even though my body tells me something different! ??
Nice to meet everyone.

Hi All, I'm newts My Net Diary and I'm looking to find new friends with the same weightless goals so we can motivate one another to get to our goals. I've lost 8 pounds since Covid started, it's a slow weight loss but I've stopped losing mostly because I lost my drive. It got so boring doing it on my own. I need to be accountable and interact with other people to stay motivated. I have 55 pounds to lose to get to my goal weight.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi all! I am new to the group. I’ve gained 8 pounds since Covid started and I could use some friendly motivation. I’m hoping to loose the 8 pounds by the end of January.

Hi Marisa, I just joined the group today. I am the opposite, I gained 8 pounds since Covid and my goal is to loose the 8 lbs by the end of January. I’m hoping I stick with it and meet my goal.

Hi,
I just joined myself and can say ditto to your post. I'm excited about MyNetDiary. I want to lose weight but also want to eat healthy while knowing what I'm eating. I've made several runs at WW but get frustrated with points and not knowing why food is good or bad just being lead by points. Looking forward to using a transparent tracker :).

I am 52 and once again on the road to be my best. Four years ago I was there and then a knee injury took me on the road to here! I am not a gym goer. I have two dogs and I walk them daily and weekends usually include a hike. I have a pretty dusty stationary bike at home that calls to me! I admire the 5% goal. Sounds so doable. I have 17 lbs to lose.... This time! But four years ago I lost 50 with this app and I can hardly believe I'm here again. Avg of 5lbs a year just crept back on.

The short of it is, if you haven't found a buddy with whom you've connected for your shares, I'm up for it. Accountability helps me. My husband and daughter are not on this journey with me and portion sizes and snacking are my down fall.

I'll leave it there unless I hear from you.

Don't know if you're still on here. I've done point, jenny Craig, home food delivery, shakes, cabbage soup.... Probably others. Best thing for me has always been tracking. Keeping calories and nutrition in check while being accountable to myself for excercise. I hope it's going well for you!

If any of you are still active in here, I would love to be accountable.

I’ve done Southbeach, Nutrisystem, intermittent fasting, and calorie counting. I got on here because I need to learn to choose nutritious food. MND seems to be very good in this area. I’ve been using Fooducate, but it is not near as good as MND, and has a much smaller food database
