New to the "team" Topic


Hey guys,


I have only just discovered the idea of groups and teams and thought I would sign up with you guys and say hi.


I am 23 and currently on a very strict weight loss program. I want to lose just over 40lbs overall and so far have lost 20lbs.


Where are you guys up to? Has anyone got any helpful hints and tips to stay motivated?


I'm 19 and trying out Atkins, but only aiming for about a 6 kg loss. How are you finding it? The stricter the diet, the more you are likely to rebel!


Yes I agree, I don't think I would ever be able to do Atkins as I am vegetarian so would never be able to eat anything! :)

How are you finding it? 6kg is still quite a lot. Are you doing that through excercise too or just diet alone?

I'm 18(it said 18 and up could join this group) but yeah, I'm vegan, so Flawless, you wouldn't be the only one starving to death on that diet! My dad did that and it seemed like all he ate was steak. Pretty nasty, IMO.

Anyway, hi everyone!


I'm a vegetarian also, does anybody have any ideas for getting the right amount of protein, iron, and zinc through a diet? I'm finding it quite hard with protein and zinc especially because most of the food that I used to get it in was processed.


I also need to get more protein like Katie, my doctor says to eat lots of beans. But it's so tough to get daily protein requirements, even with nuts and cheese!! Any suggestions for protein? I can't lose too much muscle mass because I started rock climbing a couple months ago. Also a pescatarian :(


Hi, I'm 19 and new to the team :)
I just downloaded this app today and I need to loose weight and I decided I want to do it NOW. Especially before I get older and it becomes even harder!
I have a long road ahead of me and I plan to cut down on carbs and exercise 5 times a week.
I'm glad I found a team of young people just like me!
I'm not sure of how everything works on here...but help would be much appreciated!

I'm 19, turning 20 here soon. I have lived most of my life overweight and led to obesity. I'm here to make a conscious change, and change my health around for the rest of my life. I want a new experience and that is good health, to be able to wear the cute clothes I always dreamt of wearing, and just more energy. Specially wanting to be a Paramedic I can NOT be this weight. If I want to help others I need to first help myself. I have started working out at the local 24 hr fitness and I am about to start on the HCG diet. I have been making better food choices and now that I been using the app for my iPod I am better able to plan and see what I am doing with my body and be accountable. So, enough of me. I'm excited for what this New Year brings and I hope the best for everybody on their path for striving for good health. Hope I can meet others who can an inspiration to me on this journey.

I'm very approachable so feel free to drop me a line if you fancy chatting about anything. I'm 23 and was once very fit and healthy. Over the last 2 years I have gained around 6 stone, so it is now my goal to lose it and get fit again by my birthday in October :-)


hi i'm new to the team and i'm going to school for nutrition and most vegetarian's have this poblem and the reason is that your not getting enough protein is becuase plant based foods have some but not the ones that an animal can rovide becuase their genetic makeup is more simmilar to our and plants our not, so to make up for this factor you need to take protein! Also, make sure you buy the right one for your body type becuase too much protein can cause you to GAIN weight. I hope this helped a little
