Hi! I’m new to this group, I’ve been using this app for a while but fell off the wagon over the holidays, and it’s time to jump back on. I don’t have much of a support system at home and was hoping to find one here!

Hi Irlistar, this hasn’t been a very active group- I think because MND developers haven’t set it up to notify people when someone responds on a post.
Technically I have aged out of the group, I just haven’t taken the time to sit down on the computer and leave the group and join the 50’s group. Congrats on getting back at it! Hard work, I know!
I have used MND for about 9 years. It helped me lose 60 lbs. I have kept tracking for the most part and have kept it off until recently. Only up about 10lbs but I just know from experience how that can get out of hand fast so I want to get on it quickly.
Ugh. Forgot how much it sucks to be hungry!! I feel like I have a good strategy…it’s just not fun.
Hang in there on the lack of support. I was (and still am) in the same boat. My husband doesn’t have the same health priorities so I am on my own. It can be hard- making and smelling the foods he wants to eat but I think it has also been empowering for me to slug through this on my own. If we had been a team on it, I would have quit early on - but because it’s my own grit I have just been able to endure more. Something that has been mentally super helpful is to kind of see his choices as a reminder of what I don’t want to go back to (even though I love him dearly!).
What are your goals for this year?

Hi Irlistar, I'm new(ish) too. I fell off the wagon for six months but managed to maintain my weight so yeah!! Now I'm back at it. My first goal is to get under 300 lbs. Currently, I weigh 325. I'm trying something new where I eat every 2-3 hours and only 200-300 calories at a time. We'll see how that works.
