New to the Team- WIP1983 Topic


Hi my name is Jessica. I have had no motivation lately and I really need to find it. I began my weight loss journey at 225 pounds, lost 85 pounds through diet and exercise and then over the last two years I am slowly gaining it back now I am sitting at 190!! I just cant believe what has happened to me, after all the hard work I put in to loosing the weight initially and I just let it creep back on. I'm so angry about it but just being angry is not going to change anything. I have to get back on track and really count calories and exercise daily. I just need some support and it's hard to get the support at home because since I was able to lose 85 pounds by myself before people always assume that I am the expert and that I don't need encouragement, but I'm not and I do need help. I hope to meet some friends on here to help me stay on track. Thanks for your time :D


Jessica, stay positive. You can do it and there are people here to support you especially on the rough days. One day at a time. Good luck I know you can do it again.

Jessica, you can do it. I have gone up and down over the years 130-150-130-180 and I am shooting for 150 now. We have both recognized the weight has come back and WANT to do something about it. Anger can be a good motivator. Don't be hard on yourself use it to motivate yourself to get moving.

My future hubby's favorite quote is: "You didn't gain the weight overnight, don't expect to lose it overnight." He has a great point. You said it took two years to gain the weight so remember it will take time to take it off. It took me three years to go from 130-180. I am trying to get down to 150 because I feel most comfortable at that weight.

I started on April 22nd and my goal date is August 4th, my wedding date.


I love the positive comments. It was not a good week for me so seeing the comments inspire me to have a better week this week.

watching for updates to see how your progress is going. Im at a standstill right now but hoping that I will see some progress by Monday or I will probably have a breakdown lol. Hope things are going well and the wedding planning is fun,
