Just a note to introduce myself. Mid 30's with a lot of weight to lose (80+ pds. Blech). Can't really do any exercise for awhile because of serious back issues but I still want to try and lose the weight!! Trying to eat healthy and stay motivated but it's so stinking hard. Hate being fat and want to be healthy again. Looking for anyone who wants to exchange motivation, tips, successes, complaints, and whatever else comes along the road to getting rid of the extra we really don't need! I love to cook and swap healthy recipes, too. My biggest foe is boredom eating. Any ideas other than chugging water when the craving strikes? It helps but not every time... Help...

Good luck to all,

Tina

I suggest snacking on fruit. I have a bag of satsumas on my desk at the moment and some diet 7-up. It makes me feel like I have a little treat. Not fool proof, but it helps! Welcome aboard!

I lost 10 pounds this fall, and am trying to loose another 30 before the summer! Its a stuggle a lot of the time, but having supportive people and healthy snacks around helps.

Hey HenryLouDog...hang in there buddy! I'm in the same boat: 31 yrs old and 100 pounds to lose. Lost 22 so far, 78 to go. This tool (MND) is the best thing since sliced bread. Over the past decade, I've lost the same 80 and 100 pounds about 4 times.....so I know that by exercising at least 30 minutes a day and by eating right 90 % of the time, I AUTOMATICALLY lose a constant 11 lbs a month. But with this new tool, I now enter EVERY SINGLE bite of food that enters my body and EVERY SINGLE calorie that I burn every day. No confusion possible. "Plateaus" become easily explainable (too many calories not enough exercise will make our progress stall or worst, will make the scale go up...it's so simple!). Anyways if you need any tips or encouragement I'm here for you. I should reach my goal by my birthday (nov 22nd) but the MND plan estimates my target date to be october 10 (yay! even better!). You are not alone and you CAN do it. This tool makes it impossible to fail if you religiously log everything you eat and all the calories you spend. Cheers to the new healthy us :)
