Newbie - Hello!!! Topic

Hi! I'm new here - I got married in 2010 and managed to pack on about 25lbs! I'm looking to get back in shape while simultaneously going to graduate school and working. Definitely feeling like I can do it - tracking food and upping exercise is usually what works best for me.

Hi everyone. I have been steadily losing weight over the last year and have managed to drop 55 pounds over the last year or so. I have recently added exercise to my regimen and bought the App for my iPhone thinking maybe...I loved the app and the analysis it gives me behind my eating. It has motivated me to eat healthier. I have a wonderful guy who is supporting me right now an encourages my healthy habits. I have also started restorative yoga, which has helped with my anxiety levels and I've only been doing it a few days and my sleep is already much improved. I've lost about 30 pounds since last September when I left my husband. Can't wait to get to know everyone.

New guy here! Looking to link up with fellow diary peeps! Need help understanding the food logging? Can anyone help me?

Hi all. Been using the app since December 29th. My goal is to fit a tight dress for my 35th birthday in July. Need to loose at least 6 kg. Now I have been invited to a wedding in April and will have to meet my goal by then. Now the chart doesn't look so good anymore! Need help and motivation to reach my goal.

Mez, you can do it!! I find the food analysis portion very helpful, but it's different for everyone...message me anytime...:).

Implicit user...i don't know how much help i can be...but i can try. The food list is very comprehensive, lists all sorts of things, try to be very detailed in your search that should help...

Been gaining weight the last two weeks even though I exercise and I am under weight gain levels in calorie intake. Most of my days are green or yellow. I don't cheat in putting in calories and food but sometimes I have to guess-especially the weight of portions when eating lunch at work. I hate the fact that it doesn't show on the scales. I do know that something is working though because the measures are going down and now I have the lowest hip size since I had my first child (out of 4).

You are probably building muscle with the workouts. Muscle weighs more than fat and if you are gaining muscle (which is a very good thing because muscle burns more calories than fat) it will not show in the scales yet. The measurements are very important. I wouldn't be overly worried about the scales yet, I'd say if your measurements are going down, celebrate that...:) I am a nurse and the most important measurement in a woman is the waist to hip ratio, so the fact that yours is declining is a very good sign!! good job!!!
