Just wanted to say hi! I'm Jackie, I'm 27 and am working on losing 100+ lbs, but my first goal is 50. I have been using MyNetDiary to track calorie intake and have been alternating workouts between the stationary bike (5-10 miles) and Wii Active 2, which is a training program on the Nintendo Wii. I am down 2.5 lbs in the first week, so that was very exciting and motivating for me.
I am working very hard to make my workouts the focal point of my fitness goals. Eating right is important, but I am not going to deprive myself of everything because that is just discouraging. If I can focus on working out and just burn those additional calories with longer workouts if I do decide to splurge, I feel like that will produce better results for me.

It's good you're giving this a lot of thought as to what will work for you. I'm working on losing 145lbs and I'm down 51lbs so far.

The most important thing is to stick with it. If you have an off day get right back on it the next. But also don't stress out about it, to be cliché it's a marathon and not a race.

You're doing a great! My name is kristi and I'm 10lbs down in 4 weeks. I've been doing the south beach diet with my hubby and incorporating exercise regularly. I love how for the first 2 weeks you cut sugars and white starch on this diet but you still eat dessert everyday. It really retrains your brain to be satisfied with healthier options. Maybe worthwhile checking out. Hope this helps!

Should've said I'm also 27 and I have another 35lbs to go :) I'm in it for the long haul with you applejacks

Hi! I'm Sarah 28 need to lose 100 lbs exactly but find it hard because weekend alcohol intake is fighting against my eating efforts. My main problem is lack of support at home. My partner seems concerned but not enough to support my endevours and let's me get away with too much, almost encouraging it. I guess he just wants me to be happy and thinks that fun weekends is enough!

I love your approach and will be here looking to support you with everything you do! We all have 'off' days, always here to lend an ear to anyone struggling, good luck to you! X

Hi again all! Thanks for the support. Wii Active is kicking my butt. It's a 3 week program, 4 days a week. I have scheduled myself for Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Sat. They are only 20 minute workouts, but they really get you going. Once my legs get used to it I am going to start doing the bike again on my days off from Wii Active.

I've been really cracking down on myself with the calorie counting. My roommate and I made a big batch of stir fry last night with chicken and TONS of veggies (carrots, celery, green beans, sugar snap peas, red and yellow bell peppers). It is SO good, and all the veggies make it really filling without adding a ton of calories! I had a cup of rice (240 calories) and adding all the ingredients up for the stir fry, the helping I had was 528 calories. Dinner for 770 calories and I didn't want a snack later. Not bad!

Wii Active Day 4 in the books... Met 2 goals today! 4 Wii Active workouts in 7 days and 600 calories burned in 7 days (both with 2 days to spare)! Also have only had 1 pop/day in that timeframe!

You're doing great! I like alternating between my bodyweight workouts and cycling as well, it's a good way to go.
