Good morning! I’ve used MND sporadically for awhile but having gained the COVID 19# (worse than my Freshman 15# ages ago because back then I could get it off easier!) during this pandemic, I felt it was time to get serious. It’s not so easy with all the gyms on mandated closure, not that I would go to a heavy breathing place during a pandemic anyway, and it’s about a million degrees outside so I’ve effectively stopped running. I’m open to suggestions and ideas. I’m looking forward to getting out of the “American sized” weight category.

I panicked with the gym closures too - when the shut down started I was off running due to injury and very gym dependent. I have been walking (on my own, with a friend or a kid) ALOT. We walk early a.m. or as the sun sets so it’s cooler.
In the last 2 months I have recovered enough to get back running but run very early to beat the heat/sun. 4:30am wake up is pretty common for a run day.
I also started doing more body weight exercises at home: pull ups, burpees with a push-up, squats, lunges and step ups with some kind of weight. It ended up great! I may have even put ON muscle during the shut down.
One thing that has helped a lot... I have been entering my exercise calories early in the morning (before I do them). So I would have to go and delete something if I didn’t actually do my plan for the day. Weird- but the thought of having to delete something off my plan for the day is usually incentive enough for me to get off my butt even when I don’t feel like it!
