Just wondering if this group is still active! Hello out there from Indiana!


Hi SuBe, and anyone else, if you're still out there. I just joined this group. I'm a 62-yr-old grandmom of two, with two more on the way (twins). I need to loose about 50 lbs to get to a healthy body weight for my frame. I realize that this is important if I want to live long enough to see my grandkids grow up. But, while I'm being good in the early weeks of this year, I'm afraid that I'll lose my motivation and fall off the bandwagon --as I've done so many times before-- and undo all the good work I started. I'm hoping to make a lifetime commitment to a healthy lifestyle that will stick this time.

Just peeked back into the community. I've had a setback. Lost focus on my eating plan when I got discouraged by no results after more than a month of tracking and serious exercise. After doing some research, I concluded that I'm insulin resistant. Now I'm doing low carb and seeing much better progress.


Low carb may well be the way for you to go. I found it valuable and have restarted after a period when I slipped back too. Good luck. If you find any good (and easy) recipes let us know.
