Question about recipes Topic

Hi. I'm really enjoying the ease of MND! However I don't know how to properly log foods that are prepared together. Recipes. I've been weighing and logging all my other foods. For example, I made a corn and black bean salad with veggies and such and I had 1 cup of the final preparation. Is there a way to put in the ingredients of a recipe in order to get an accurate calorie count? TIA

Entering recipes - Hi Jennyvalentine, yes, you can enter and modify recipes! This blog post has the basics: https://www.mynetdiary.com/tips-for-accurate-recipes.html

I enter a lot of recipes so please feel free to post questions anytime. The most flexible and accurate way to enter a recipe is to make sure you make the recipe ingredients (using the appropriate food item and amount), and then measure the total yield and have that information ready for entry.

For more tips on food logging (which also relates to using the correct recipe ingredient item), see this post as well: https://www.mynetdiary.com/more-tips-for-food-logging.html

Best,
Kathy

how do I download a recipe into my foods/recipes

I am trying import a recipe from America’s Test Kitchen, she website, and app. The information that gets imported, says it is in Romanian. The ingredients are listed as various candies. I then edited it by typing in the ingredients, but then it lists it as 1 serving with over 6000 calories. I tried changing it to 6 servings, but the calories don’t change. The numbers are not like the ones on the app recipe. Can you help?

Hi I just came up with a new recipe
It's like a large muffin top I fixed it in my muffin top pan!❤
I think of it as a Breakfast Cookie!
Craisin Oatmeal PB Cookie
1 med ripe banana -mashed
5 talb. Oatmeal
1 talb. Almond butter
.50 tsp. Vanilla ext.
1 talb. Chopped walnuts
1 scoop quest protein powder
4 talb. Egg whites
3.25 talb.craisins (50% less sugar)
.25 tsp. Cinnamon ground
.50 tsp. Brown sugar replacements
Oven preheated 375 - 15-17 minutes
Calories 267minutes
All the things I need for breakfast!

Hi Suzib123- That sounds really tasty! Thanks for sharing~ Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Thank you Joanna😌 One batch made two (2) muffin tops. One muffin top shows 267 calorie. The recipe could be made into little snack muffins. I'm thinking a 1/2 teas. Baking powder might puff it up some. The reason peanutbutter is in the name is that I used peanutbutter protein powder. Just think of the possibilities, I could use any flavor protein powder.

Yes Suzib123- The options are endless! Cheers to finding healthy food you enjoy eating. Thanks again for sharing, Joanna
