Hi JuliePotter, stick with it - you can lose the weight. Experiment to find out what works best for you. Some folks respond well to a faster weight loss and some do better with a slow and steady rate.

1. Be confidant and committed to working on your weight loss.
2. Believe that you CAN do it and that you will do it.
3. Use the right tools!
4. Don't give up
5. Get professional help if you can't move forward. Personal trainer, dietitian, doctor, therapist, etc - there are lots of pros who specialize in weight control.

You might find my articles helpful and informative - you can find them on the main website. Be sure to read the one on calories: http://www.mynetdiary.com/customizing-calorie-goals.html

I have been using this app for almost three weeks! (wow it has gone fast! :P) The first week, I lost 2 lbs and 1 the second. This is my third week, so no scale yet. I needed something in which I could eat "real" foods, but still lose weight. I have been surprised at how easy this is! I am just taking it one day at a time and working on getting the nutrition I need. cant wait to see how things continue! :)

Great to hear it, Breakoutmommy! Glad MND is a useful tool to help you meet your nutrition goals.

Hi JuliePotter! You are NOT the only one who feels 'down' and is frustrated. I am finding this a great place to confront my demons and chase the "Ican't" monster that plagues me. I hope you findd that here too. You can do this. This is a great tool to stay accountable AND find support. We are with you - beside you - and will be cheering your success!!

Hi! I'm Barbara from Oklahoma City, OK.....
Just started about 5 days ago and have lost 9.6 lbs. (I have Many-Many pounds to go). My question is that I went to Denny's. I ate one of their skillet meals. It wasn't in the data base to I created a custom food. It showed on my daily diet for a little bit but now it's gone. Did I do something wrong?

This is Barbara again... Oops,,,, I just found it on my daily food tab. Newbie error. Good luck to everyone trying this new way to track you food intake. This sure seems easier than Weight Watchers. I love it.

My dear Julie. We are in the same boat. I've done everything (even Bariatric surgery) to lose weight. I'm still over 250lbs. I've lost 75, 100 lbs before. It has always come back on. I'm 59 now and feel that I'm giving this easy to track program a real try. I can tell from looking at the forums that this is a good place to be for me right now. I don't have time to go to a meeting and these forums have made me feel like I'm in a winning mode. Hope you feel that way/

In 2005 I lost 30 pounds with WeightWatchers on line, unfortunately with life and stressors it has all crept back....I am ready to get back on track again and hoping that MND will be helpful! with a goal to loose 30 pounds by September!!:) The hard part is getting back to exercise! Can't seem to find the time with full time work / kids and a part time job!

Hi Everyone... I have started using mynetdiary today for the first time and I am really impressed with how user friendly it is!

I have about a stone to go, 7kgs in forgeign money :-) having lost 3 stone in 2012. However I have got a bit stuck in a rut so thought that tracking what I eat may help me over come the hurdle....

Keep up the good work everyone!

xx
