WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND WHAT HAVE YOU FOUND TO BE HELPFUL?
My long term goal is to lose 20 lbs (once and for all... I've taken way too long to do this. Time to get serious). Honestly, when I track everything I eat in MND I lose the weight. When I don't, then I maintain or gain. So, what I found most helpful is to track everything and to do it everyday... of course to stay within my caloric budget, too :).

HI! So far so good. I am down almost 5lbs, shooting for 20-30 before summer!!! How has things been going for you the last few days.

That's fantastic NikaRhae! You must be thrilled! Do you watch the Biggest Loser? I caught the first night, Sunday, but missed yesterday. It looks like it will be a good season.

Things are going pretty well, down about 3 lbs. How were your last few days?

I do watch it! LOVE IT!! I was so excited to Jillian back. I watched both nights and was heart broken when Nathan went home :(

I haven't lost any the last couple days but I guess that happens! How are things on your end?

I so agree ... when I track everything, I do so much better. Good luck to you! I find that if I don't update at least twice a day, I also don't do as well. ...And so happy Jillian is back but the white team better win some weigh ins or we won't be seeing her until next time.

Like you, I wish the forum was better ... I've had success with MND and like the forum, but I've never really been a contributor. I hope to have a network like you and Happychick100 to read your successes and use them to keep me motivated also. My goal is about 13 lbs as a minimum. I've been on MND for about 2 years and am about 20 lbs down from where I started. I just need to keep logging! Good luck to you and Happychick100.

Welcome JDnewme! That's a good idea... to keep in mind how many times you log food/exercise onto MND, to figure out what works for you. I never thought of that.. I think I'm finding that I have to log in right after each meal/snack and then in the evening actually check to see how much I have left prior to eating dinner. So far, this is seeming to help.

I know, I teared up with the last episode of Biggest Loser. I'm getting into this season.

The last few days I've been doing well with MND. I've gone over on a few days this week, but not by too much. I can't believe how fast the calories add up!!!! That's what I love about the MND, it kind of teaches you how to manage your intake better, just by tracking. I'm learning that I don't like to just spend calories on whatever, that I prefer to think about what I would like to splurge on, when splurging, instead of mindlessly eating and then before you know it you've already consumed 600 calories and on foods that you didn't even love.

...and when you do know you are gonna splurge, looking at your calorie count and thinking, I HAVE TO EXERCISE if I want to have that evening out. That's a great motivator when you just want to make up excuses to skip a workout.

When the family asks "whats for dinner", if you haven't logged, that's when I end up splurging.

Best of luck to you!!!

JD

Best of luck to you, too!

Hope everyone is still hanging in there, logging food, and watching Biggest Loser!
