4 tortilla Tortillas corn
1/2 tbsp Cumin seed ground or whole
1/2 tsp Pepper red or cayenne spice
1/4 tsp, ground Oregano dried
16oz Turkey ground 93% lean 7% fat raw
1 cup shredded Lettuce green leaf raw
1 cup, chopped or sliced Tomatoes red raw

- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Place four 6-inch corn tortillas on an oven rack and bake for about 8-10 minutes. They are crisp when ready.
- While corn tortillas are baking, mix spices together and set aside. This is your taco seasoning.
- Place ground turkey in nonstick skillet and cook, covered, over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until browned.
- Add 1/3 cup water and taco seasoning to turkey and cook another 2 minutes.
- Divide seasoned turkey evenly between the 4 baked tostadas, then top with 1/4 cup each of chopped lettuce and tomato.
Tips:
You can mix together a larger batch of taco seasoning and place in a sealed container so it is ready to use for another meal. Use about 3 Tbsp per 1 pound poultry or meat.
You can save time by buying packaged corn tostadas but they will typically be higher in calories and sodium, depending upon brand.
