16 oz Turkey ground 93% lean 7% fat raw
1/2 cup Bread crumbs dry grated plain
1/4 cup, chopped Onions raw
1 tablespoon Lemon juice raw
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Soy sauce reduced sodium
1/4 tsp Sriracha or hot chile sauce
4 sprays, about 1/3 second each spray Vegetable cooking spray oil
4 roll Sandwich Thins (any whole grain type)
4 leaf outer Lettuce green leaf raw
4 slice, medium (1/4" thick) Tomatoes red raw
5 steps
- In a bowl, combine all ingredients.
- Form into 4 patties.
- Spray skillet with pan spray.
- Cook burgers on medium heat until cooked through with internal temperature of 165F. Try cooking for 8 minutes on one side, then flipping and cooking for another 7 minutes. Add more time if needed.
- Assemble burger: bun bottom, lettuce, tomato, onion, burger, mustard, and then bun top.
Tips:
Ice water with a slice of lemon is included in recipe photo. This is a refreshing way to hydrate and has 0 calories.
To lower calories and carbs, remove the bun and just use the large lettuce leaf as the wrap.
