6 steps
- Place 1 tbsp of creamy or chunky peanut butter on each side of the thin bun.
- Place sliced banana on top of the peanut butter on just one slice of bread.
- Top with the other slice of bread so that the peanut butter sides are facing each other in the middle.
- Spray oil a nonstick skillet and heat to medium.
- Place sandwich on skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve & enjoy!
Tips:
You can boost protein and calcium content by drinking a cup of milk with this sandwich.
You don’t need to add sweetener to the peanut butter – the banana does the trick.
If thin buns or sandwich thins are not sold where you live, then try light bread, low calorie bread, or extra thin sliced bread to keep both carbs and calories down.
