Hello all! I just joined up with this team and read through some topics and thought I might be able to give you guys some motivation for those who are thinking about starting but having a hard time applying diet and exercise with a busy schedule. I started going to the gym with my dad about two months ago. It was just for fun to take a class, I didn't have a membership or really any motivation to start losing the weight I so desperately needed to lose. After a few weeks of working out 2 times a week, I found myself steering clear of bad foods and fast food. Now, don't get me wrong. I still loaded up on the calories and fat and snacked to high heaven when I was bored, but for a little while after working out, I was more motivated to eat better. My biggest suggestion is to apply exercise before really altering every aspect of your diet, you'll find yourself doing it naturally. At the beginning of this month, I got a membership for myself and as of this week, I have begun the "Eat-Clean Diet" by Tosca Reno and am already feeling awesome. I have lost 12 pounds already since I began adding exercise into my lifestyle. I now work out 5 days a week and two of those days I go to the gym twice a day along with one day with a personal trainer. I have a long path to go with 60 more pounds to lose, but instead of thinking about how much more I have to go, I'm enjoying the path there and feeling better about myself mentally and physically. Don't think of this as a diet, it's a lifestlye change. We can do it!
