Mate that's awesome, but to be honest you're HR shouldn't be that high for that long.
You might want to look at doing intervals, they've been shown to burn more calories and gives you heart a chance to go between 150 and 180 with the difficulty changes.
I use a cross trainer every day, 30 minutes on interval setting at level 10. Burns about 600 cals.

If you notice my HR was a little below 170 at all times. That's surely not too high?
Level 10? That sounds pretty insane, isn't that very high resistance?

Apologies, didn't read the scale right!
Yeah that looks fine but I'd still look at intervals, the raising and falling of the HR really helps your heart recover more efficiently.
Level 10 is pretty intense, but I've got pretty good legs and I'm pretty fit. I usually run about 5-7k each day but it does my knees in, so the cross trainer is a good alternative.

That is cool - I like the Garmin display/report.
Endurance athletes often go for a long time within a fairly narrow heart rate range so I don't think that is a problem.
Interval training would help you build speed and shake up your routine a bit.
However, I am also someone who likes to keeps my heart rate up for 45 minutes or so. Great for calories burning, by the way, and great for aerobic endurance.

Very cool Truds! Garmin connect works great for setting fitness goals on the web site and tracking with data recorded on the watch. Unfortunately, Garmin recently switched Google maps for Bing, a huge down grade. They must have sold their souls to the devil.
Dietitian: one suggestion to MND would be to create a link from Garmin Connect to MND. That would an awesome upgrade.
Here is a recent activity I did on a visit to Hong Kong. Fantastic fun!!

Wow - how I would LOVE to run that course. Are the views beautiful?
The link to Garmin Connect is a great idea! This is something that Support would love to hear directly from users. Can you post that in their thread on upgrade requests?
I wonder why they left Google maps. Sigh.

Yes, great views from the peak, but challenging uphill run.
Good idea to input to the support forum. Thanks.
