I am taking a moment today to enjoy the 50 pound weight loss milestone I hit this morning.
I’ve lost 51.7 pounds so far since March 7th of this year, when I started tracking what I eat every day.
I began tracking everything I eat after deciding my COVID weight gain had gone too far. I was at 255 pounds, which is the heaviest I’d ever been in my life.
On March 7th, I set my first goal at losing 55 pounds by September 1st, which was my supposed “return-to-the-office” date (this date has now been delayed until at least November 1st).
I did not meet my goal date, but I am only 3.3 pounds away! Then I plan to set my next goal, which is to lose an additional 40 pounds.
My ultimate goal weight is 160 pounds, which for my height is the very tip-top of “normal” on the BMI chart.
I’ve tried so many other methods, from The Fat Burner Cookbook, to The Adkins diet, to Weight Watchers, etc…. all with limited success.
So, I am so thankful that I found the MYNETDIARY.COM app when I did this past Spring. I’ve tried a lot of different methods of losing weight over the years, and this method is vastly superior to any other method I’ve tried. You lose weight by burning more calories than you consume.
Let me say that again: You lose weight by burning more calories than you consume.
You cannot just guess at calorie consumption. If you just try to “watch what you eat” without tracking what you eat, you will be frequently eating too much or too little, and both are counterproductive to weight loss.
I’ve been able to have the success I’ve enjoyed so far this year by tracking everything I eat, every day, without fail, even when I snack a bit too much some nights, and “go over”.
What MYNETDIARY does is make the accurate tracking of your calorie consumption as easy as it can possibly be. Their database of foods that can be tracked by scanning the barcodes on foods is ENORMOUS. I have rarely found foods that are not in their database.
Daily tracking is easy, with frequent food/meals easily tracked with a tap or two on your app.
So if you want to lose weight, I highly recommend NYNETDIARY.

Hi there U1189509571-Thanks so much for taking the time to share your weight loss success with other MyNetDiary users!
We are thrilled to hear you have had such great success with logging! Many people who use the app are just getting started and feeling a bit overwhelmed. What tips might you provide to those who are just starting their weight loss journey? What tips might you offer to others working at home?
The pandemic was such a stressful time for so many folks. You managed to take the opportunity to lose weight and regain your health. Very inspiring! Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Congratulations!! It seems like a simple formula: eat less calories than you burn…but it doesn’t mean it’s easy! You worked so hard to get there! Really thrilled for you

Hi U1189509571, if you don’t mind me asking, did you excersize also? If so, how much? And what was you daily calorie count did you use? Or what diet? I just started and would like to lose 40 pound by the middle of February.

I’m a newbie and encourage everyone to use MND (my netdairy). I was intimidated at first and wanted to quit. It seemed complicated but i stick with it and patiently studied the app. It is wonderful and is now my best friend. I’ve lost 12 lbs since August. I’m on a roll and I’m feeling and looking better. I’m 82 and can walk without my cane. My goal is from 230 to 190 by February.
