Hi Picklenccckkk and Y@sHu,
Indeed, it is frustrating when the weight comes back so quickly after a slower loss. Sometimes hanging on to extra fluid (after a salty meal for example) can be part of a faster gain. Hang in there- you are in this for the long haul. :)
Best,

Hello U11882604077-
It sounds like you have hit a weight loss plateau. While these can be very frustrating they are a predictable part of the process. Here are a few tips to get the scale moving again.
1. Are you eating regular meals? We suggest eating 3/day and striving to get in 20g of
lean protein/meal along with veggies at each meal. If you are stuck and don't know what to eat here's a template: https://www.mynetdiary.com/simple-n-healthful-meal-planner-plate-method.html
2. Are you engaging in regular activity? I am not sure your age, fitness level and schedule to allow for activity. If you are able, strive for a mix between aerobic and anerobic exercise each week. Make sure to check-in with your doctor before engaging in an new exercise program. Have you tried HIIT- Here is a link: https://www.mynetdiary.com/high-intensity-interval-training-benefits.html
3. Here are a few articles on how to break a weight loss plateau:

I have lost 8 lbs since July. It doesn’t sound like much, but my doctor measures body composition and at the time I saw her I had lost only fat plus gained a pound of muscle. She was very thrilled. I am fitting into many of my old pants etc. My longterm goal is 20lbs, but my short term one is ten. The scale doesn’t always tell the whole story. Very happy to be looking and feeling slimmer. Hoping to hit my first goal by Christmas. Not starving myself. I haven’t been exercising...long story, but just set up my treadmill again today. I think that plus more water will move things along more quickly,

Hi Izzy135, Great to hear about your inches lost with loss of fat and gain of muscle! Muscle tissue actually weighs more than fat so I am not surprised that you are noticing the inches and clothes fit more than the weight. Think of eight pounds of butter though. It is significant! Hope you get on the treadmill. Yes, water is important! You've got this! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
