Can someone explain the Food Grades in the weekly/Daily Analysis? SInce I switched to Low-Carb, I have actually started to see a shift...I have always found Low Carbs the only answer to losing my wieght!, however my food grades have dropped to D! even on fresh sald vegies, proteins like fish, chicken, roast lamb etc....only good grade was a Mango Smoothie!!! which I treated as a treat!! Please explain..before I was on the normal diet, calorie counting etc and gaining A and B's mostly, but not losing weight!
Really chuffed to find this forum as at 64 I am super keen to lose some of the old weight gain!

I would like a detailed explanation about the Food Grades as well. Some of them don't really make sense to me. For example- why is beer graded as a B/B+ (not even low-calorie beer), while some decent foods like smoked salmon are graded D?

Sorry, disregard the smoked salmon statement, please. I was thinking about something else and now I can't find it.

Just joined premium low carb - where does it explain the grades A D+

Hello U1188609803- The food grade is a simple tool to rate your food choices. It is meant to be used to compare like items. For example, you are at the store and trying to figure out which whole grain crackers to buy. Here is an in-depth explanation including the math equations explained as well: https://www.mynetdiary.com/food-grade.html
The grade is not helpful (and potentially frustrating) to figure out if eggs are healthier than high fiber bread. Saturated fat contributes to a lower score while fiber contributes to a higher score. Yet in actuality both of these items are healthy. If you have premium membership and are following the low-carb tracking and eating plan you will want to see this new rating system we developed specifically to help people find the healthiest foods on the low-carb eating plan: https://www.mynetdiary.com/low-carb-food-grade.html
Let us know if other questions remain. In good health, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Thank you very much Joanna!

Happy to help. Have a great day!

Hi, I am doing OMAD in a 22:2 hour window. I usually put electrolytes in my water bottle first thing in the morning. It prevents being lightheaded and does not interrupt the fasting state. It keeps me alert all day. I hope this helps. Finishing up one month tomorrow.
