What keeps you motivated? Topic

Wow Congrats to you...you have been doing so good. I believe you got this healthier you under control! It does help when we can get outside and work all day and don't even realize it. I hope other read our site you have been giving so much good advice and how works for you is amazing! Welcome the healthier you! I bought some popcorn to air pop and try some of your ideas...I let you know. Have great Wednesday!

I think I wrote you about a cheese powderI ordered though Amazon. It has worked great for me. I mixed 2 tablespoons of cheez with 1 tablespoon of ground salt and a teaspoon of garlic powder. It adds almost 0 calories to the popcorn. Hoosier Hill Farm cheddar cheez powder. I also used it to make a cheese sauce to go over cauliflower.
I am not sure just how nutritious popcorn is towards a balance diet, but I do find it keeps me feeling satisfied for a long time. I often have it as a snack late afternoon and then find I don’t need dinner.
I was rewarded today with a .8 lb loss. Still losing right at 1 1/2 lbs a week.
Keep after it on the diet and try to add just a little more excercise each week. You’ll get there :)

Yes, I'm gone to have to try cheese powder...I love cauliflower and broccoli with cheese. I been having snack attaches so today I was busy in kitchen making up snacks. Made pudding drops..chocolate and peanut butter. I use fat free sugar free pudding make as directed than drop bit size drops on parch paper and freeze than take off paper and put in bags and keep in freezer for fast snack...vanilla pudding add powder peanut butter..I usually can get by with 2 or 3 when I eat them . Made a small turkey breast for different meals. Funny seems like when I cook I don't eat so that kept me from eating all day long. I think the pizza I ate bit me in the butt didn't lose much. Hope all your family staying healthy and hope you are keeping up the healthy you.

I occasionally make a healthy pizza, but I have not found a recipe that still doesn’t add more calories than I want if I eat enough to satisfy me.. I have used low calorie flat breads for crust and lots of veggies, but still the oil and cheese add up.
Yesterday was frustrating, I walked for an hour, rode my bike for an hour, did about 11/2 hours of yard work, consumed just 1300 calories and still gained 11/2 lbs the next morning.
Probably just water and I will eventually see my reward, but still disappointing.
We use the sugar free puddings also. I like the cook rather than instant, but they are hard to find.
Turkey breast is a really good choice. I am careful to eat 3-4 oz of protein with each meal. Last thing I want to do is loose muscle. I also use a lot of beans and nuts beside meat for protean.

It is frustrating when you gain but like you said I believe with all that exercise and only 1300 calories it has to be something you are holding. Most likely something you ate was salty and you are holding that with water. I'm not a big meat eater so I use alot of black beans. I put in my salads and omelets. I make a veggie fritter with beans smashed, frozen veggies, 1 egg, salt, pepper, garlic and Parmesan cheese, You bake them. There is a place near by me that makes pizza on cauliflower crust...I will have to investigate it. It is raining here so maybe I will get some more video exercise in...my daughter hasn't been coming down as much with all going on she is stay home also with the boys so I'm enjoying me time...but I must say I'm getting alittle tired of it. Have a good day and you watch the scales will be down tomorrow and if not just knowing you are eating right and taking in the right foods your temple needs you are rewarde health!.

My quartet is trying to figure out if we can get close enough together to sing at one of our churches video services. We have a pretty good repertoire of religious songs and I really miss singing with the guys. Hope we can schedule a Sunday.
Saw a truck sitting downtown and people buying something out of it. Stopped and they had forty lb boxes of chicken. I bought a box of boneless skinless thighs for $35. What a deal!
So.d ten to a friend, but still have thirty. I am sous videing 8 right now. Got to stop buying, my fridge is beginning to burst. Must have at least 6 weeks worth of food put away.

Do you sing the old hymns or more of the modern. Some of my favorite are Just a Closer Walk with Thee, Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord, and Power in the Blood. I use to go to Church all the time, taught 3 years to 8 years old Sunday School and would go up front and tell a story to the children during Church. I would tell them stories like on Palm Sunday Jesus came into Jerusalem and they were throwing a big party waving Palms and than I would have the Palms and party hats and we would wave them to all. Than I need to give it up I let a man move in with me...a total Sin. Needless to say it didn't work out and we parted our ways. I only been back off and on ..I want to so when this virus thing calms down I will..it has open my eyes. That was good on chicken..so much you can do with it. I love chicken stir fry and chicken salad with grapes in it. My 2 freezers are full and fridge. Just for myself and 2 fur babies I usually spend $80 a week on groceries ....right now I try to go only ones every 2 weeks last time I spend $225. Tonight I had about 2 cups of popcorn and I found this cheese for popcorn bacon and cheese. MMM so good and my Maltese loved it also. Sounds like you did some running around today....good exercise! Keep up your goals of healthy you!

Good day, down 1.6 .
Let’s see , we sing a number of songs in churches.
A Gospel Medley - How great though art, In the by and by, I’ll Fly away, When the Trumpet of the Lord. The melody jumps around and we all get a turn to shine.
Precious Lord
Feelin Fine
What a Wonderful World
Lord’s Prayer
When there is Love at Home
The Irish Blessing and a few more

Hope you do get back to church. I would also encourage you to join a small group study. Great way to grow your faith and make good friends.

You are doing so well..usually after losing alot of weight like you it slows down. You must be really working it! The first time I lost weight I did that ...I can't remember how long it took me maybe a year but every week was a big lost for me. I think the key is get up and move. I have song all those songs..don't know word from word but have song them. I love singing in Church..you can feel God in your heart. You and the family take care!

I think we will start off with Feelin Fine if we sing. It is such a happy song. We had a lovely duet this morning where each singer sang a different song and wove them together.
Keep my daughter and family in your prayers. She has a C section tomorrow at 3pm. We can’t be there because of the virus, but hoping to still be able to babysit for a couple of months this summer.
Going to start raining soon for a day and a half, so I right after church, we took a walk and then I went for a bike ride before the rain keeps me inside.
See you have been progress with your weight loss. Your down 8 lbs since we started talking. Good job!
