Well, I'm working with a personal trainer 1 day a week on Saturday. I also have Precor Upright bike and elliptical at home to do in the mornings. I want to start swimming one day a week.

I go to Gold's Gym about 4 times a week and have a personal trainer that I see at least twice a week.

@Thom: do you like your Precor equipment. I bought a Sole treadmill. I will rate it after I have had it awhile.

Hi ... sorry for not responding sooner! I normally access this on my cell phone and don't think I can get here unless on the desk computer.
I do like it, great quality and built to last. And for some, they make great coat racks! (just kidding)
So far for your Sole treadmill; how's it going?

Since it's hot out I have been swimming and that is awesome. I burn tons of calories and it feels like I'm not doing anything. I do ride my bike sometimes and definately walking but my mind thinks I can go farther than my feet and back want to take me:( it's getting easier but not easy enough. ......

I've been going swimming ... Less impact in the knees and joints and I love being inthe water. Just need to go more than 1-2 times per week that I have been doing due to work travel schedule.

I use to walk regularly, bit after shattering my leg I'm having trouble walking without my cane. So I swim and ride the bike for exercise. I alternate between the 2 to keep from getting bored.

Hi, I am presently at 279 lb and want to lose 110 lbs in a year. I have started walking on tread mill (6kmph, 9 inclination) for 10 kms everyday and in order to de-stress the knees, plan to go for swimming on the weekends for atleast 4 hours. I used to be a good basketball player, but have lost a good number of years being the "fatty" guy. Initially I wasn't bothered, but it has come to a level that I am just not able to take it and want to get back my shape, if not for me, atleast for my family. I was gifted a son just 3 weeks back, and I want him to see a lot fitter me when he starts walking! I want him to run with me, p play basketball with me and do all the things imaginable. I feel pity on myself for allowing me to live like that. My wife is extremely healthy and so is my family. Its just me who feigned ignorance and delayed the efforts, stating that I can lose weight since I "was" a sportsman. I want to tell the forum, that I was wrong and no excuses stand from now. I will and I definitely will, go down 110 lbs and run a marathon within 2 years dedicated to my son. Thanks for reading/listening to my rant on myself. I hope a year hence, I read this and pat myself for living up to my words, one final time, the life offers me a chance. Cheers T
