When I am having trouble logging I try to eat easy to log foods. Makes it much easier to log.

Yes, this would help! I am like a yo-yo, but I am more determined at this point in my life to keep moving forward towards better choices.

Good for you on your walking! 30 minutes of walking everyday is great! I tried the South Beach diet and it is a good one. I don't have the time to prepare meals, so I didn't last long on it. It does work though. I just bought an elliptical and am going to keep a routine going. It's harder than I thought it would be, but it should give my heart a good workout.

Thanks for the advice haven't been great this week had a birthday and my girls cooked me a three course meal which I enjoyed immensely but didn't have the heart to log in the meal, not to mention the alcohol for that evening also doing my dissertation at uni so have been a bit snowed under hopefully can make a start with the south beach whilst the youngest 2 are at home for the next 2weeks on their hols from school. With regards to the south beach my plan of action is to adapt recipes to accommodate lifestyle and maybe freeze where I can, still have three girls to cook for. How do I personalise my "implicitor name" lovely speaking to someone i felt less alone and doing it with no support cheers ver

That is fantastic that you are back. Try starting out by going for a walk when it comes to exercise.

Hi- sorry for the late reply. I think you can change your name in your profile. It is helpful to see others struggles, cheering you on. It's hard to stick to routines when there are so many other unpredictable things going on in our lives. Something else always seems to be more important than eating right or exercising. Freezing meals is a great idea.

Hi. I am new to this site. I am a 43 year old mother of 2 that is desperately wanting to lose some weight and starting feeling better about myself and my health. My goal is to lose at least 30 lbs by August. Any suggestions on how to keep with this would be great. Right now I am mainly counting calories and exercising more. I have cut out pasta, rice, breads and soft drinks..

Hi I'm new to the site as well. 46 year old female that's on the wagon again. In 2008 I lost over 60 pounds to get down to my pre-pregancy weight, but didn't understand its something I have to work on all the time, so it almost all crept back on. I have about the same amount to lose as you. As part of my plan I'm on the Lite n Easy program which is working well, and I'm exercising. This part needs work (I need to get into a regular habit with this). But what I have done to keep me motivated is broken my goal down in 5% factors. Goal 1 lose 5% of my start weight, Goal 2 lose 5% of my new weight etc. I'm about 5 pound (around 2kgs) from my first goal so its exciting. Can't weight to cross it off my list. I'm visual, so I have a tracker on my fridge just to remind me how close I am and to keep me engaged. Good luck. Visualisation is a really big help for me. Keep imagining yourself how you will look when you hit goal. Imagine what you are wearing and focus on that. It helps. That's what got me there last time.
