Excellent week for exercise, not so much for diet. Looking forward for a little break from exercise for the weekend. Hopefully some slower walks and thats all till Monday. Have a great weekend all

How is the exercise program going R. Hope the YMCA programs are working out for you. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Good start for this week. Did a 5 km run/Walk yesterday. Good time. Walked it all in 46 min. 60 min walk this morning and a 8 station tri/bi weight training session. I am going to add 15-30min of weight training everyday after my walk, and maybe start a run/walk program. my walking mates don't run so not sure what to do there. see how my week works out.

My weekly workout routine consists of a 1 hour and 15 minute Kickboxing class on Monday and Wednesday mornings. I run/walk 2-3 miles with a friend on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. 3 mile run/walk on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

You should be getting in shape real quick with that routine Steff. Awesome. Today I did a 60 min walk. 3.89 miles and 30 min weight training, chest aand shoudlers today. Short week for the gym this week as we leave for holidays Thursday, then next week I will just be doing walks, and hopefully strat my walk/rum program. we will see. Looking forward to a good week, and hope you get all your workouts in this week, Steff. Also good exercise week to all who check in here.

Hey jms sounds like you're doing great. It is tough if your walking mates aren't runners. Maybe you could go to your local high school track. That way if they are walking and you are running you can still do your walk portions together.

I ran 4 miles tonight with only a short water break between each mile. It took 44 minutes. I want to eventually cut the water breaks out but it is very hot here so I'm being careful not to overheat.

Kickboxing was great this week as well. It's getting easier. If you've never tried a kickboxing class I highly recommend it. Great fun, stress reliever and a major calorie burner. I usually burn about 800 calories each class.

My goals are too add speed and distance to my runs and cut the water breaks.

Here's what I did this week

Sunday - ran 1 miles - walked 3 miles.

Monday - kickboxing class 1hr 15 min

Tuesday - ran 1.5 miles - walked 2 miles.

Wednesday - ran 2 miles - walked 2 miles.

Thursday - kickboxing 45 minutes and ran 1.5 miles - walked 2 miles.

Friday - ran 4 miles walked 2 miles.

Saturday (tomorrow) - off

My body is tired and feeling the exercise.

Monday 5 mile walk, Tuesday missed , Wed, 4 mile walk and tri-bi (8 station) weight training, Thur- 3 mile walk, and Back(4station) and shoulders(4 station) weight training. Still need to get in legs and chest before tomorrow night. Missing Tuesday threw me off a little for the week. Very pleased with my progress. How about you guys. Steff, it looks like you are doing great. Let me know if you were able to work in you full plan for last week and you plans for next week.

Yes. I managed to start some running this weekend. I was very pleased how it went. Friday, ending up being a very busy day, including 7 1/2 hours spent in a vehicle. and I missed my morning workout. But Saturday, when I went for my walk, i managed to work in a run/walk interval walk, I did way better than I thought I would. Today, was no planned exercise again. PlAN for next week, is cardio and weights on Monday and Tuesday, Just cardio on wed, thur , fri. and I will just be doing cardio for 10 days. ( On holidays) I am thinking of trying to make up a program of some kind of body weight strength training. See what I can come up with.

Ready to try and work in more runs on holidays. I had very little success making a body weight only strength training program. Just hoping I can keep up the run/walk program. It gets difficult to stay on track when I am out of my normal routine.
