Changing Activity Level Topic

I’m confused. Initially, I had set my activity level to sedentary and then would input my daily activities such as work, workouts, etc. I later set it to Active, as I’m always on the go at work (cabinet shop/machine operator), but I don’t see any changes to any of the daily calorie intake or anything. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated as I get an error whenever I go to see what forums there are, so can’t search for my answers.....frustrating too, especially after paying for Premium. :(

I’ve only just joined this app but I’ve noticed that with similar apps and calorie trackers that increasing activity won’t affect the amount of calories you need but how quickly you reach your target weight so by increasing activity you’ll reach your weigh a month quicker

Hi CurlyP139,

Thanks for reaching out! Hmm, changing your activity level from sedentary to active should have raised your daily calorie budget. You may want to reach out to our support team at support@mynetdiary.com so they can look at your account.

Most people do set their activity level at sedentary and in app settings, turn off toggle that adds exercise to calorie budget. That way they don't add back in the calories burned from exercise. Here is an article with a section on how to track exercise that you may find helpful. https://www.mynetdiary.com/planning_weight_and_calories.html

Also, I am sorry you are getting error messages when searching forum. Can you explain that to the support team in an email so they can guide you? The developers are actually working on improving our forum to make it more user-friendly.

Hope this helps! Brenda (MyNetDiary Dietitian)
