Gaining weight? Topic

Feeling seriously demotivated right now. Over the last few days I have gained a couple of pounds back. I have been under my calorie count and under my net carbs every day. I weigh every morning when I wake up before I eat or drink anything. I’m at a complete loss.

Weight will fluctuate day-to-day due to a number of physiological reasons. Stay consistent and overcome this hump. Also, just be doubly sure that you log every little ingredient used throughout the day 👍🏻
Good luck!!

Thank you. I faithfully log every single thing I eat. I'll be ok. Just feeling down tonight.

Some things to consider, did you eat later in the day then usual? That food would still be digesting causing more weight. Also did you eat more salt the normal and drink more? It’s unlikely to gain significant weight in just a few days I find it’s normally water weight and a day or to later it all comes off pluses a-little extra. Stick with it and you will get we’re your going!

Because daily weight fluctuates, and I’m easily discouraged, I weigh in weekly. It helps!

I bought new scales, and the new ones added on an extra 2.0kg 🤣 discouragement 101.
I like to weigh myself daily in the morning before food or water, then, take the average for the week on a Sunday.
Daily weigh ins help me to see any trends or fluctuations, but the average tells a better story :)

With new scales they tend to give a slightly different reading than the old ones. Don’t be put off. It is the trend that is more important. Remember thats mechanical error nothing to do with your level of fittness.
