I lost almost 70 pounds before so I know I can do this just need to stay motivated and determined to finish this journey

Hey, just started my journey today and am super excited to use this app. Hoping to meet like minded individuals so that I can keep motivated and accountable while offering the same for my friends and community.


I’m starting today, happy to have some friends to help me (and them) along the way. I’m doing high protein as I’m peri menopausal (all fun and games) and I thought it might help with keeping me full. How’s everyone doing today?


Did someone say "Peri-Menopausal"??? Um...I will be happily 57 in a few weeks. Let's just say that my life began again when I stopped having periods, endometriosis, mood swings, mystery periods, you name it. For U11 - do shakes as your liver needs protein to heal (we all know we are not kind to our liver from time to time) and your high protein like chicken and beef can be hard on the liver to process. Try shakes and bars for a bit, not so much meal replacement, but as an added extra! I sure wish Cheetos came in a high protein brand! Ha!


Hey all, my name is Amy and I started my weight loss journey again yesterday. About 25 years ago I lost about 100 pounds and I kept it off for four pregnancies and I was a runner, running many half marathons and lifting weights, at least an hour a day. I was fit and healthy until Covid. My husband traveled Monday through Friday and I was a single mom with a full-time stressful career, plus all the other crazy things that Covid brought. I don’t know what happened but things are not going well with my husband and I were now going through a horrible divorce, and he left me a year and a half ago for another woman. That’s after I had already gained quite a bit of weight we had been together for 30 years, since we were 15, My self-esteem took a huge dive. I got really depressed and gained even more weight. I am just so determined now, and so motivated to get back to how I used to be and start my life new, independent, and healthy. My first goal is to lose 65 pounds after I do that then I will try to lose another 15 but each day I’m just going to try to focus on that particular day and making sure I get some type of exercise and fall of the calorie budget, I would love to continue the conversation with you all each day to continue to motivate each other and I hope each other one each of us struggles if you’re all willing so far the last two days have been great. Usually for me after the first week or two, is when I start to struggle and give up.
