I just lost 22 pounds In 2 months and I enjoyed my food. You have to find a sustainable diet that you can enjoy. There’s no point eating chicken breast and broccoli and having some rice cakes and carrot sticks to snack on and then feeling demotivated and giving up after a week or so. You have to create a smaller deficit and lose weight at a slower rate than you would like to in order to increase the likelihood of you adhering to the diet and achieving your goals. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Find out your maintenance calories and take off about 300 calories. Stick to that for 4-6 weeks and see the results. You can then play around with it and once you hit a wall and think you aren’t losing weight at the same rate, you can take off another 100-150 calories a day.

The main thing above all is to cut out processed foods and sugary foods/drinks. Get your sugar fix from some fruit and if you really have to, drink some 0 calorie sodas like Coke Zero, although the sweeteners aren’t great for your gut micro biome. If you eat whole foods and stay about 300 calories below your maintenance while working out (weight training, not just cardio) you will see results. Weight training isn’t just a thing for men to get bigger, as it has been advertised in the past. It is more effective in burning calories than moderate intensity cardio. You will also preserve muscle mass which aids fat loss. Hope my advice helps. I have been studying fitness and nutrition for years now and I think I’ve got a decent idea about how it all works. Hope it goes well for you!
