Yes! I've lost 6# using my net diary. I love reading all the blogs- very motivating. Stick around and see. I'm trying to get a daily habit of exercising started. I've done good for 2 days now! Help me stay motivated.

I just joined and would like to get some tips and have a support buddy. Interested ?

I will help if I can. I've had a bad week-- can't even log all that I ate! I'm going to get back on track today- before the weekend. I went out to eat a lot this week with friends I haven't seen in a few years...I'm like an alcoholic (with my food binges) who tries to drink just half a glass of wine or 1 beer:( I've learned that not logging food leads to overeating. That's my greatest accountability tool. When I blow it, I mentally push a "re-start" button and go on. 3500 calories = 1 pound...either gained or lost! Perseverance.

How are you doing?

Something that helps me is to try and log my food before I eat that morning for the day so I don't deviate from it.

Yes, I do this too and it's tremendously helpful -- both for keeping me on track and for helping me decide if "cheating" is worth it. It also forces me to have all my meals for the day, and when I'm going to eat them, planned in advance so I don't end up on the go without healthy food with me.

I'm really glad this group is still going! I'm turning 47 in a week and am really getting hit hard with the realities of menopause. I've always been very athletic and have been able to pretty much eat what I wanted as long as I worked out. Evidently that's changed. I thought it would be easy to take off my holiday weight this year, but I can't get it to budge! My doctor told me that menopausal bodies process weight gain differently and I'm sure feeling it. Anyone else?

So that's it--menopause:( I've noticed a change in my ability to lose weight too. I'm turning 50 this year- probably have to leave this "40-something group"! I was recently put on thyroid medication so I'm hoping that will help some.

I'm in peri menopause myself, and NOTHING is coming off. And salt hits me harder than it used it. I've just adjusted my activity level to "Sedentary" as am experiment; maybe eating significantly less will help. Good luck to you all/

Hi SaxNViolin: this is a great app - i use it on my droid and wow! it really helps to know hwat you are eating. The exercise component is pretty accurate too! Good luck!
