Gained it all back, starting my weightloss journey again Topic

I previously lost 70 pounds in about a 9 month time period. Well... I started neglecting my exercise routine and started eating poorly and gained back all of that weight plus a few extra pounds (30 to be exact). Now I am back in the game and I am very scared that I will fail because of my past experience. I want to loose about 100 pounds now to get back to where I was after my previous weight loss. Anyone else with a similar experience?

I lost about 50 pounds in five months. I similarly stopped exercising, and started to eat poorly. I gained back 30 pounds. I now am jumping back onto track. For me, I had a minor injury and I let it get the best of me. I allowed it be my out. I was very vocal about my weight loss and exercising when I first lost all the weight, but I didn't share my setback with others around me; I didn't hold myself accountable. If I had been more forthright to myself and others about my "bump in the road", I think I would have gotten back on track a lot sooner. That's how Im tacking it this time around. I wish you the best of luck!

Hello Everyone! I am new to the site. I lost 40 pounds and gained back 10. Not for any apparent reason, i did not stop what i was doing. Anyways i went to a dietitian and we are still trying to figure out what is wrong :( and today was horrible! woke up this morning and i gained 6 pounds in 2 DAYS!! But i am still motivated and hoping for the best! I need to lose 80 pounds to reach my goal.

I guess your intake has changed or your body is fighting the weight loss? Watch your calories closely & you may need to lower it more. Add a bit more exercise?
