Hi Folks, in case you still need some last minute ideas for healthier versions of recipes, here are some of my favorite sites:
Cuisinicity: http://cuisinicity.com/
Lots of vegetarian/vegan versions of savory and sweet recipes. Author is French and is married to a nutrition scientist!
Yummly.com: https://www.yummly.com/
Filter by macronutrient content, sodium, or other nutrients to find popular recipes modified in tons of different ways.
Cooking Light: http://www.cookinglight.com/food
Tons of well-tested recipes modified to be somewhat lower in carbs, fat, and salt. Recipes are not low carb or low calorie per se, but they are lower than traditional versions. My fave pecan pie is their Bourbon Pecan Tort with Chocolate Drizzle (great without the drizzle too BTW): http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/bourbon-pecan-tart-with-chocolate-drizzle
Enjoy! And even if you don't modify holiday dishes, just exercising some portion control is a good idea to help avoid feeling overfull and sick after eating.
Happy Holidays!
Best,

New Year's Eve - some helpful ideas to help you manage this holiday:
Buffets are a landmine of calories.
- Don't socialize near the food - stand facing away from the table and focus on your friends and family.
- Ideally, eat a balanced meal before the party so that you are not so hungry when you are socializing.
- If you drink alcohol, alternate an alcoholic drink with a non-alcoholic drink (preferably noncaloric - like fizzy water) so that you curb calories as well as not get so drunk. This will also help avoid overeating (we tend to eat more when we drink more).
- If you do plan to eat dinner at the party, then limit yourself to one plate of food. Scan the table first before serving yourself - pick "calorie worthy" foods and skip the rest.
- Desserts - 1 small plate and no seconds.

Beer - who doesn't love those awesome microbrews? But beware - the strongest factor for high calories in a beer is high alcohol content! Check out this older post: https://www.mynetdiary.com/beer-when-i-asked-my-husband-what-he-would-like.html
