Is there an API available? Topic

Hi,

I have a home written application for recipes that keeps track of all the calories I consume. I'd like to know if there is an API available at mynetdiary so that I could automate the update of calories and other values for my own recipes in mynetdiary.

I'd like to automate the process as much as possible and having my app updating the recipes when I make a change to them seems like a good way.

Thanks,
Gema

I'm going to let Support answer this one - I really don't know.

Can support please respond?

I'd also be interested in an API to write entries to MyNetDiary (preferably easily implemented in Python, but any mainstream scripting language would do). Since I tend to eat within a very limited number of items, the API could just return a Boolean false for any incorrect entries and reject the submision; letting end-user scripts handle such exceptions.

api, xml, json?

MyNetDiary is updating their recipe functionality right now -and I think recipe viewing and modification at MyNetDiary is now available on all platforms. But I will ask Support again about API.

Hey folks is there a API available yet? Would like to be able to select specific items from all the data in the app. Want to generate a report that combines date-time, meal, calories, carbs, net carbs, sugar, sodium, BP and glucose readings. Although can sort of do with your reports its very cumbersome.

Hello Tawbg,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

While we currently do not have a public API available in MyNetDiary, I understand your interest in accessing specific data points for generating custom reports. While our reports feature offers some customization, we acknowledge that your specific requirements may not be fully met.

To explore this further and discuss potential solutions, I recommend reaching out to our support team via email at support@mynetdiary.com. Our team can provide additional insights, discuss your needs in more detail, and explore potential workarounds or improvements to address your requirements.

Thank you for your understanding and for being a part of the MyNetDiary community. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to assisting you further through our support channels.

Sincerely,
