Medication and weight gain Topic

s cause you to gain weight? Is it the actual medicine that would cause the weight gain or does the medicine cause you to eat more which leads to the weight gain? I'm always confused about this. I know I wouldn't eat more, i would stick to my normal calories. I'm supposed to take it to get my period.

Sorry. It didn't all go. Should say: can taking provera for ten days cause you to gain weight? Is it the actual medicine that would cause the weight gain or does the medicine cause you to eat more which leads to the weight gain? I'm always confused about this. I know I wouldn't eat more, i would stick to my normal calories. I'm supposed to take it to get my period.

Hi Dancer93, Provera can cause an increase in appetite, which can drive people to consume too many calories. If you track your food intake and exercise, you can control your weight. Tips for keeping hunger at bay - plenty of lean protein and non-starchy veggies at every meal, higher fiber, and plenty of fluids. Also, try not to keep your trigger foods within sight at home or where you work. Check out the articles and blog posts - there are good tips there too. Ok thanks so as long as I stick to my calories I'm good. I only eat a certain amount of calories each day and certain foods so I don't have trigger foods or anything like that which is good.
