Just wanted to say hi to everyone and I am having a hard time losing weight at 58. So I'm trying this program again. I did it last year and lost 20 pounds.

Hello, I too, am back in to the MyNetDiary Club. It had worked in the past and it'll work, again. I've been quite busy with educational courses and a growing business, but have found that if I don't give myself that extra 1/2 in the morning for a workout, body aches and joint stiffness as well as the pounds set in. New to the group. Decided last September I needed to seriously lose weight and regain my health! Down 26 pounds so far, have 34 more to lose. This is a lifestyle change for me; not a "diet."

Hello, I am new to this group. I am 5'7", 53, female and use strength training with heavy weights 3-4 times a week and now have incorporated DDP Yoga into my training on days not lifting. I have used Chilean Extreme for the heavy weight workout. I have not seen a great deal of weight loss; currently at 163-165lbs but I have seen toner arms, shoulders and have lost inches off my waist and hips. Also I am trying to stay on a Paleo diet. I have used My Net Diary in the past with fair results; I did not utilize the community component...so now I am going to give a try. Looking forward to learning from you all.

Hi I am also 53 years old and do cross fit 3 times a week. I am waking 4 times a week. My gold is to loose fat and increase muscle. I take 1 gallon of water a day. I have problems keeping up with the protein. Welcome to mynetdiary

I weighed in this morning 27 pounds lost to date.
I'm 57 and have lost and regained more many times in my life. My wife's a nurse so I could see that my blood pressure was creeping up and my blood glucose levels were slowly rising too.
We both decided to get serious.
After much research, we decided to try a ketogenic diet. Our kidney and liver functions are good so we have stepped it up a notch. Protein intake at least 1.2 g per kg of body weight. Carbs low at 30 g per day. Then enough good natural fat (avocado, coconut, butter, turkey, beef) to bring calories upto 1400. Daily vitamin to supplement what I'm missing from fruits. I monitor potassium, magnesium and sodium consumption and take some electrolyte pills every other day. I take collagen in the hope that it will keep my skin elastic so that my skin doesn't sag as much as I loose the weight Feel great. The third day is a bit hard as your body exhausts all the stored glycogen and you start to burn fat. MyNetDiary is great to help plan the day to keep track of the fat, protein and carbs that I consume.

I am new here as well. I am doing keto and looking to give and receive support. I have lost 15 lbs in the last month n a half. I love keto way of life and want to stay committed as I have alot of weight to lose. Hope we can be a support for one another!
