Newbie - Hello!!! Topic


Hi everyone!
New to this so just wanted to say hello! I've around 4 stone (56lbs) to lose to get to my target so a bit to go.
How much has everyone else on here to lose or already lost??


Welcome Sueja! I've been trying for a few months. I was really good for a while but strayed. Now I'm back on track with eating and working out. My weakness is candy and chocolate. I have been doing fertility treatments for a long time and have decided not to try again until I drop some weight and do some acupuncture for a few months. I find not being accountable to anyone is challenging so I'm hoping that this group can keep me in check.


Hi both :) I lost 42lbs for my wedding (10-10-10). I have maintained that weight since though (at least I didn't put any on!). Jan 1st this year I started fresh and have lost 6lb so far. I am losing weight as I am sick of people basing opinions on me on my looks. Tired of worrying if I'll fit in the theatre seats etc


Hi Mel, wow 42 lbs is amazing! The 6 since Jan 1st is also a good accomplishment. I have been trying hard although I had a bad weekend with my eating. I find it hard when home to not snack. I have become addicted to Muay Thai kickboxing classes but can't make it out of the house more then 1-2 times a week to be fair to my spouce a nd 4 year old son. The classes are an intense 2 hours. I got a punching bag in our basement but need to be better about going down and using it when I can't go to a class. I really need to be good the next few months and drop at least 10 as I am going to try one final attempt at IVF to get pregnant. Is week I will try and cut back on coffee intake.


Hello! I'm also fairly new (been on and off for a while but only just started on the forums). I also have 4 stone to lose and it seems like a mountain right now!
I was quite down earlier this week but I feel better today. I have renewed determination and have to put all my past failures behind me.

Hello to all! Just started on the 19th and would like to lose 50lbs it says by July but it could take longer and I won't mind. I just want to be healthy again, have energy and feel good about myself. I have no dreams of being 120lbs, I would look sick. I would like to get down to 150 or 160. I'm hoping that being in this group and reading your stories will help me to stay motivated. Hello everyone! I just signed up yesterday, and though I have re-incorporated exercise into my daily schedule for about 6 weeks now (down 8 lbs) I know it's time to get the food under control as well. My problem is snacking before bedtime. My goal is to lose 20 lbs by summer, and get back into the 4 tubs of clothes and swimsuits I have stored in my basement! Good luck to everyone!


Hello everyone! I'm new here. I've lost 9 pounds is 2 months just by giving up Mt. Dew; this has really motivated me to consider trying harder. Little changes add up. Since Jan. 15th I've lost an additional 5.5 pounds on a "lower" card diet. I have 101 pounds to lose until I reach my goal of 135 lbs. Will need help to keep motivated, since I have a habit of self sabotaging myself after a couple of weeks of successful weight loss. I have to say though, this time I really believe that I will be successful....it just feels different....maybe I'm finally tired of carrying around the meat suit.
