I love the Eat Clean Series- the latest cookbook is great, but the Clean Eating Magazine is probably the best thing. You get a 2 week meal plan that plans out small meals and snacks, which can help you learn portion control even if you don't eat exactly what they layout. But if you want to make things simple, they give you a shopping list for each week. And the recipes are really good, and have calorie counts for everything.
I love Rachel Cosgrove's The Female Body Breakthrough weight training book. She's a trainer in LA and lays out a reasonable 4 month weight training program, 3x a week with one cardio workout. The more muscle you build, the more efficiently your metabolism works- which is why men lose weight faster. I bought some small equipment and do the workout at home. Look her up!

I am trying the Dukan diet at the moment. The good thing is that it works immediately, which gives you motivation to continue. It's similar to the Atkins diet, in that it extols the virtues of almost unlimited protein but is different because you are not allowed to eat unlimited amounts of fat.
Started doing it last week and have lost six pounds in seven days! Really worked for me, my sister is trying it now.

I LOVED the book Skinny Bitch. Does anyone know any other books like it, not necessarily cook books but just more informative books to learn more about what I'm eating? Thanks!

Skinny Chicks Don't Eat Salads by Christine Avanti is a great book to read- it teaches you so much about foods and does include a recipe section in the back of the book. I highly reccommend it!

I actually did the Nike+ Kinect workouts. It's actually pretty effective, especially if your dedicated.

I have been doing the Firm CardioWeight System workout routine since about December 28, 2012. It was pretty tough to start with since I was extremely out is shape, but has become easier along the way. I actually enjoy doing some of the workouts now. The other thing I love to do now is go for a walk. It is free and easy enough to do :) I try to add in at least three a week, but try for up to 5-6.

I've been reading Thrive and Fat Chance.
I've been doing the scientific 7 minute workout I read about in the New York Times a few weeks ago and really enjoy it.
Other than that a variety of body weight workouts and some yoga DVD's I got ages ago. I also found out that Hulu has a pretty nice fitness section so I've been finding things I like on there to do.

I get bored very quickly so I have tried a bunch of different workouts: yoga booty ballet, Zumba for wii, ea active sports, Brazilian butt lift, and various free workouts on Netflix and YouTube. Currently doing the Insanity workout and it is kicking my butt. My favorite has been Zumba, it is so much fun!
