Hey ladies, I was wondering what have you guys used to help lose weight. I've used the ab lounger and it was pretty useful till I lost a part for it and now I can't use it. I've been taking Resistance classes at my gym, and that's help keep me toned at least. I've been trying the Wi Fit at home for the past week and it's actually fun and useful to keep track of weight and balance. I love the games and yoga part of the Wi Fit. I've also recently ordered the book Skinny Bitch. I thought it might be a fun and different diet book. What have you used to help keep the weight off? Did it help did and you like it?

I followed the book "extreme fat smash" for 6 weeks and lost 10 pounds. It was really tough. A very restricted diet and pretty extreme exercise. It was definitely worth it though. I am taking a 4 week break doing different exercise and still watching what I eat but eating a bit more. Next week I start the diet again and I am going to try and shed another 10!
I also have the wii fit, which I love, but I dont use much ( I seem to be at the gym instead which is fine by me!)
I have thought about using the skinny bitch book. Let me know how you like it.

Hey pink I kind of fell of the health wagon the last few weeks, but I'm back on again! I miss using the Wi Fit. I have been going to the gym more. I read most of the Skinny bitch book and it was pretty in your face stuff. Like Bitch you have to do this and that or else your gonna be a fat cow. Or if you eat meat your poisoning your body. It was a little intense. I don't recomend it if your not into that type of attitude. I'm sticking to old fashioned eating healthy and exercise. I lost 30 pound last year doing just that . I will DO IT again!!

I am using the Chalean Extreme workout and diet program, it's really been amazing. It's fun and I look forward to working out.

I started spinning about a year ago, but carried on eating what i wanted, i didn't loose weight, surprising, but my body totally changed shape-i got a waist and my thighs looked better!! I also bought a wii, literally last night, plus joined this website three days ago so i'm hoping everything together will make some sort of progress!!

I like "Skinny Bitch" and "Skinny Bitch in the Kitch". The first is a book describing, in detail, the awful things in food that make you not want to eat anything processed anymore. The second is the coinciding cookbook for organic meals.

I bought Jillian's 30-day shred a little less than a month ago, and I definitely agree, it kicked my butt! I've always been athletic, but have been struggling within the last 6 months with my weight and I bought that DVD thinking it would be a nice workout. I started on level 3 and that was probably one of the toughest workouts that I've done in a long time! I definitely recommend it for those who want an intense and quick workout, but definitely start with level 1! :p Also be sure to stretch well before, she does a lot of quick movements that could injure people who aren't warmed up.

I am also a big fan of Jillian Micheal's "No More Trouble Spots" - It is a good workout and lasts about 40 minutes.
....And agree that reading "Skinny Bitch" makes you think twice anytime you think about eating processed foods!

I have a hilarious video called 'Walk to Workout' from the 80s with crazy leotards, leg warmers and big hair. It was a great beginners video and the outfits provided an amusing distraction from the workout itself.
Hula hooping is a great ab workout that also is light cardio and a full lower body toner. Make sure you get a big adult size hoop - the bigger it is the easier it is to start using. You can get weighted hoops too. I use it while watching TV or DVD's and last summer I got fantastic abs from just doing hula hooping, walking and eating fairly healthy. Loves it!
