I am looking at starting to eat low carb. What is a good replacement for bread?

Hi Rachel- Great question! I am sure you will get a lot of interesting tips and tricks :)
I like using lettuce wraps (such as romaine and swiss chard) for burgers and sandwiches.
If I am really craving bread I find an open-faced sandwich does the trick and prefer Ezekiel bread. I have some clients who like using Wasa or Flackers crackers with dips and spreads. For breakfast I enjoy sautéed veggies with black beans and eggs. I find the beans help fill me up, taking the place of a slice of toast.
Let us know what you're experimenting with. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

I do not recommend beans for low carb. They are not low carb, in fact. The beans are full of carbs. What you need to do to reduce the cravings is to lean in on eating fat. The more fat the more satiated you will feel. Fatty foods are succulent and tasty. If you replace the carbs with tasty fatty meals you will never look back!

So I am low carb suggested by my dr. 150 grams carbs daily but no lower then 100 grams daily. I am eating around 80-100 grams of protein and 50-70 grams of fat. I try to eat healthy fats the best I can and lean meats. I am losing weight when I stick to it, I have been sick for the last 3 days and will have to get back on track because I gain very easily.
I use Live Carb bread by Aunt Millies, there is hamburger and hot dog buns as well as 5 seed breed. There are low carb tortillas shells to I use also. By using the low crab breads I am able to add other nutrients to my meals

I grew up on flour tortillas and white bread. I never thought I could go without either at any meal. I weaned myself off bread and tortillas a few years ago and I don’t crave them anymore, but I still eat them once in awhile, but never white bread, always wheat or 9-grain. I do eat corn tortillas there’s only ~12g of carbs in each and you can heat them on a griddle as soft or crunchy as you’d like. I add an egg, avocado, beans, chicken, or whatever sounds good. Good luck! I keep repeating what I read on this app. Commitment is a choice. I keep telling myself that.
